We are an in-person social group of (currently all) women who get together IRL to work on our individual fibre arts projects and chat ok and informal way.
🪡 Stitch = embroidery, cross-stitch, knitting, crochet, needle felting etc.
🗣️ Bitch = informal chit chat, usually about how our week went and what life is currently throwing up.
Otherwise known as a craft group, craft meet up, craft and chat, knit and natter, coffee and craft etc you get the idea.
You should be at least 18, but otherwise no strict age restrictions. However, we are (so far) all in the 30-40 range.
We are all women but we are open to other genders.
We are not openly advertising the venue, because we're millennials suspicious of the internet, but we are based in the NG8 Wollaton area of Nottingham so you want to be in easy distance. We meet on a week night.
For more information, request to join the Facebook group or contact us directly.
Anything low-mess and portable that it suitable to work on in a pub or cafe. We all work on our own individual projects (WIP = Work In Progress). So far people have done hand embroidery, cross-stitch, knitting, crochet and friendship bracelets.
This is a social group for fun, there is no charge to be in the group, but our weekly meet-ups are in a place of business, so it is expect you will at least buy a drink, or some food.
No, we understand life is busy, and we've all got our own shit going on. However, the idea of a regular (as close to as you can) commitment is to give yourself a couple of hours a week to relax, work on your project, and try making some new friends.
Yes, please - currently the group is managed through the Facebook Group and Events, or contact directly with an Instagram DM or email, if you don't use Facebook (good for you!). We just need to make sure we get enough space for everyone.
We are hoping for 5-6 regulars, expecting that people will drop in and out, but we'll see how it goes.
Currently, in May 2026, we are 3 regulars.
Most of us do, we understand! This is why we're meeting new people with a WIP in our hands, so silences, if they happen, are much less awkward. The weekly format also means we can slowly get to know each other in an organic way. You can come and barely speak for weeks, as long as you keep showing up and giving it a chance, hopefully, we'll get comfortable with each other.
Yes, our current meeting place has an access ramp and disabled toilets. If you have questions about this, please contact us.
